Aries

You are rightly beginning to rouse yourself from your slumbers, after what has been a quietish time. Venus has lifted your spirits, and you can feel in the mood to put your best foot forwards. Yet if you get a knockback today, don’t take it too seriously. For example, you could ask someone out and they turn you down, or someone seems more unfriendly.

Taurus

There could be some uncomfortable silences or deep sighs can be expelled that seem laden with sadness. Yet no-one can seem prepared to make the first move to open up and sort the issues out. This could be a face saving issue, or perhaps confronting the truth, just seems too awkward or painful to do. Yet this is where stubbornness is not a virtue.

Gemini

If you are in an unfulfilling love relationship, you can find your thinking turning more towards developing new interests and hobbies. Friends who cheer you up and lighten your mood can also feature. But don’t see all this as being perfect, and all else is awful. Really you are just reacting to the situation. If you were happier, things could be very different.

Cancer

Extra responsibilities, even a promotion can be talked about. It’s nice to feel that people have confidence in you, but despite feeling flattered you may be weighing up whether you want all this. Freedom is something you have been appreciating of late, but then, perhaps there is no gain without some pain. Unfortunately a family member may not help.

Leo

You could be experiencing almost a tangible sense of liberation, now that Mars has done its about turn in your sign - or are you? Because the beautiful Venus is still being opposed by bad guy Saturn. And even if you feel better, and a good deal chirpier, someone around you can have a face like thunder! Oh well, turn your attentions to more amusing things.

Virgo

Some find it easier to stint themselves than others. For some, a lack of money or material excess can bring out their fighting spirit, with little victories of cost saving, seen as major achievements. Others can find being short of cash, absolutely and totally miserable. Just which are you? Or do you swing between the two? A compromise may be needed.

Libra

Venus and Saturn are still firmly opposite one another, but the Moon in Aquarius can act as a peacemaker. If you and someone are struggling to see eye to eye, this encourages you both to try to lighten up, to not take one another quite so seriously. Don’t be too preoccupied with appearances. Substance is the key. Not everything can be fun and frothy.

Scorpio

Saturn in Libra, can over the next couple of years, be quite punishing for you Scorpio, if your tendency to be secretive turns into obsessive evasiveness. Why might you be so fearful of showing your hand? If your imagination and fears are ruling you too much, you’ll project this onto relationships of all kinds, but it won’t help to create a great atmosphere.

Sagittarius

There can be two people you really like. The problem is that just now, they might not be getting along very well. You could find yourself caught in the middle, trying to reason with each of them. Then again, it may feel as if you are having to work hard at keeping someone happy yourself. Little niggles can creep into your love life. Be attentive to limit this.

Capricorn

Outside pressures or family demands can impinge on your peace of mind. This could be because you are working odd shifts or for a demanding employer, or it may be a parent or a stroppy teenager who always wants you at their beck and call. All this can impact on the quality of your own downtime, and today you can find yourself, weighing up what to do.

Aquarius

You can be community minded, and issues related to badly parked cars, petty vandalism, litter or owners who fail to clear up after their dogs can come up for discussion. These things could really frustrate you, but more so, if other people just shrug their shoulders. Then again, perhaps you'll feel someone is unrealistically expecting perfection.

Pisces

You may have to accept that something is not quite as you wish. If you work for yourself, things could be hard going perhaps because of the effects of the downturn or there can be a freeze on your wages if you work for somebody else or a public body. More belt tightening may not seem like fun but later this month, there can be an upturn in fortunes.
